1. Form Which Submitted Already
Follow the steps below:
Step 1: Go to Settings & Allow response editing
The first step you have to follow is to go to the “Settings” option, which is seen in the top right area of the screen beside the “SEND” option. Then you have to go to the “Responses” part of the settings section.

The lower part of the visible options will say “Responses can:” there will be four options below. Tap on the box beside “Allow response editing“. Ticking this option will allow the user of the form to edit the form even after it is submitted. Then automatically save the changes you have made.

Step 2: Preview your edited form
Now you have to tap on the Preview icon at the top right of the screen to see how the form looks and if it lets you edit your response.

You will notice that once you submit the form, there is an option that says, “Edit your response”. If you click on the option, the form with all the details you’ve filled in will appear on the screen, and you can make the necessary changes.

Step 1: Go to Script editor
The first step you have to follow is to go to the form response spreadsheet. Under the name of the sheet, you will see a menu bar with various options like “File”, “Edit”, etc. Tap on the option that says “Tools”.
Under the options that will appear below it, tap on the option “Script editor”. You will see some default text on the screen; delete it.

Step 2: Type the script for creating Edit URLs
Now type in a code. Go to the form and look at the form URL. You will notice a combination of alphabets in the middle of the URL. You have to copy this part of the URL and paste it into the script in the form key section.

Now go to the spreadsheet again and copy the name of the sheet. Directly paste it into the designated area in the script. Then we need to add to the script a column number that will help determine which column you want the edit URL saved in.
Step 3: Save and tap on “OK”
Now tap on the “Save” icon at the top left part of the screen below the menu bar. A prompt will appear asking you to enter the name of the project. Enter a title and tap on “OK”.

Step 4: Tap on “Run” & “Review permissions”
Tap on the “Run” option in the menu bar. In the options under it, tap on “Run function”.

And then on the option with the name of the function you want to run. You will get a prompt saying, “Authorization required”. Tap on the option that says “Review permissions”.

You will have to choose an account you want to proceed with and allow Google to manage and view your spreadsheets and forms.
Step 5: Go to Spreadsheet
Now you have to come back to the spreadsheet. You will notice that all the URLs have been made for the existing responses in the assigned column. These links store the exact details that the particular respondent typed. If they have access to this link, they can change the details. If you decide to make changes in the script later, tap on “Run”.

How To Edit A Google Form Responses After Submission:
You can use the Edit Response link provided in the confirmation email or on the submission confirmation page. Simply click on the link to access your form response.
