How To Find An Unknown Person In Zoom Meeting

How To Find An Unknown Person In Zoom Meeting:

You can easily find unknown people in a particular Zoom meeting by enabling a specific option in the settings.

Step 1: Open a web browser > Zoom.us > Log in

The first step you have to follow is to open a web browser on your computer and then go to the search bar. Here you have to type in “zoom.us”. It will take you to the web version of Zoom.

At the top right corner of the screen, you will find options to sign up and sign in to your Zoom account. If you already have an account and want to log in, tap on “SIGN IN”; if you want to make an account, tap on “SIGN UP, IT’S FREE”. 

Step 2: Go to “My Account” > Settings

Now that you are logged in to your account, you will notice an option called “MY ACCOUNT” in the top right corner. Tap on it. A set of options will appear at the left corner of your screen under the heading “PERSONAL”.

The option “Profile” will be highlighted under it, which means that you are in the profile section of Zoom. There will be an option at the end of this section called “Settings”. You have to tap on it. All the options related to different settings will appear on the screen. Towards the left will be a sub-section of options under “MEETING”. 

Step 3: Go to “In Meeting (Advanced)”

Now that you have tapped on the “Settings” option and you find yourself in the “MEETING” sub-section of Zoom, you have to move your attention to the set of options under “MEETING”. The third option in this section will be “In Meeting (Advanced)”.

Tap on this option. You will be taken to related options. Keep scrolling until you find the option “Identify guest participants in the meeting/webinar”. There will be an option beside it to enable the setting; tap on it. Now you will be able to identify every guest participant.

How to get the Email address of Zoom participants:

You can only view the emails of people who have logged into their Zoom accounts before joining your meeting. You can schedule a meeting in a way that only people who have signed in to their accounts can join the meeting. This way, the users will sign in, and their usernames and emails will be recorded by Zoom.

Step 1: Go to “Schedule a Meeting” and add the topic, timing, and other required things.

Step 2: Scroll down and go to “Advanced Options” and enable the option “Only authenticated users can join in. Sign in to Zoom” to record your users’ emails. You can easily find the email addresses of your Zoom meeting participants using the “ADMIN” section of the app.

Step 3: Under the “ADMIN” tab, tap on the option that says “Account Management”, here, you will find an option that says “Reports”. You have to tap on it.

Step 4: You will be in the “Usage Reports” section. If you are an upgraded user, you will be able to click on any of the options available. You have to click on “Active Hosts”.

You will see a list of all the meetings you have had; there will be a column saying “Participants”. Click on the number of participants for any meeting, and you can see the names and emails of the participants who had signed in to their Zoom accounts before joining.

Step 5: You can get one of the many Event gateways available to record the details of users.

Will the Person know that he appears As a Guest?

However, everyone else will know that they are a guest. When you join a meeting, you will notice an option in the menu bar at the bottom that says “Participants”.

If you click on it, you will see a list of people currently in the meeting. If any of them is a guest, a text will appear beside their name in a bracket saying “Guest”. This is how you will know that someone is a guest.
