How to unlock a locked Zoom account:

You have the following methods to unlock a locked Zoom account:

1. Resetting your Zoom Password

You can reset the password of your Zoom account to unlock it if you’re unable to remember the old password to log in to it. Below you’ll find the steps to reset the Zoom password.

Step 1: Go to the sign-in page

You need to go to the sign-in page of Zoom to start the process. The sign-in page of Zoom is zoom.us/signin. On the sign-in page, you’ll be able to see the email address box and a password box. Above the password box, you’ll be able to see the Forgot password tag in blue.

Step 2: Click on Forgot password

On the sign-in page of Zoom, you need to click on the Forgot password tag in blue just above the password box.

Click on Forgot password

It will take you to the next page, where it will ask you to input the email address that is associated with your Zoom account. You need to enter the registered email ID into the box and then click on the Send button.

Step 3: Open the email

After you’ve pressed the Send button, you’ll receive an email from Zoom to the registered email address. The subject of the email would be Zoom password reset confirmation. You need to open the email and you’ll be able to click on the blue tag that says Click here to change your password.

Step 4: Reset your Zoom password

Next, you will need to input the new password in the box. Remember that the password you’re inputting should have eight characters, one letter, and one number and it should include both uppercase and lowercase characters in it. Once you’re done inputting it, you need to click on the Save button.

2. By the Administrator

Follow the steps:

Step 1: Go to the User Management

When a Zoom account is set to be under Zoom room management by an administrator, then it needs a Zoom administrator to unlock the Zoom account. This is the only way you’ll be able to get back access to the locked Zoom account. You need to go to the User Management section in the Navigation Panel.

Step 2: Locate Email Address > Click Unlock

Once you have headed to the User Management section in the Navigation Panel, you need to locate the email address of the person whose Zoom account has been locked. On the page, you’ll find the email address listed. Once you can locate it, you need to click on the Unlock button.

Step 3: The account will be unlocked

Once you click on the Unlock button, the Zoom account of the user will be immediately unlocked and the user will be able to use it. The administrator can reset the password of the account or the user can change the password of the account to keep the account secure by himself.

3. Wait 30 minutes and try again

You need to wait for thirty minutes and then try again later to unlock your Zoom account. When you enter an incorrect password more than five times, your account gets locked immediately. You will not be able to unlock your account unless you wait for some time. You need to try again later after waiting. The account has been locked temporarily and can be unlocked by entering the correct password.

How To Tell if a Zoom account is inactive or locked:

If you’re confused about whether a Zoom account is locked or inactive, here is how you’re going to find it. If your account is locked, then it can be reused once you unlock it after a few hours using its password or by resetting a new password. But if the account is inactive, then it’s not reusable and cannot be logged in anymore.

🔯 Zoom Account Locked Due to Failed Logins:

If you’re shown the error message that says your Zoom account locked due to failed logins it means that your account is temporarily locked and it can be logged in after resetting the password. You can even retry to log in after 30 minutes and check if you’re able to log in or not.

Why Does Your Zoom Get Locked:

These are the reasons below:

1. You Had Failed Login Attempts

Sometimes your Zoom account gets locked when you fail the login attempts. When you input the wrong password more than five times, your account gets locked temporarily. You need to wait for another thirty minutes to try to log into your account again. This happens when you forget your password.

2. You’re Locked By Admin

When you share a Zoom account with someone, the account admin can lock you from entering the account. If you’re not the account owner or the admin, you’re not allowed to change the password of the Zoom account. The password can be changed only by the owners and the admins.
