How to Change Your YouTube Channel Banner:
Follow the steps below to upload a new banner for your YouTube channel:
Step 1: Open YouTube on Browser
To change your YouTube banner photo, open any browser on your PC. Click on the ‘SIGN IN’ option from the top right corner. Enter your Gmail ID and password and log in to your YouTube account. After logging in to your YouTube account, you will be redirected to the ‘Home’ section of YouTube.
In the top bar of this window, you can see your profile icon along with the options ‘Create’, ‘Voice search’, ‘YouTube Apps’, and ‘Notifications’. Click on the profile icon to go to your YouTube profile page.
Step 2: Click ‘Your channel’ & open
After clicking on this profile icon, you can see many options there, like ‘Your channel’, ‘YouTube Studio’, ‘Purchases and memberships’, ‘Switch account’, ‘Sign out’, and so on. Click on the ‘Your channel’ option to enter your YouTube channel, where you have all of the videos you created.
Step 3: Click on ‘CUSTOMISE CHANNEL’
Now click on the ‘CUSTOMISE CHANNEL’ option under your banner photo. After clicking on this option, you will be redirected to a new tab. From this Chanel customization tab, you can customize your banner photo.
Step 4: Click on ‘Branding’ > Choose Banner image
In the channel customization section, you can see ‘Layout’, ‘Branding’, and ‘Basic info’. Click on the ‘Branding’ option here and scroll down. You can see the ‘Banner image’ option there. From this part, you can change your banner image, but keep one thing in mind, for the best results on all devices, keep your image size less than 6 MB with an aspect ratio of 2048 × 1152 pixels.
Step 5: Upload an image
Now, after choosing the ‘Banner image’ option, you can see two options: ‘CHANGE’ and ‘REMOVE’. If you press ‘REMOVE’ and press ‘PUBLISH’, your banner photo will be removed, and if you want to change it, then press ‘CHANGE’ and upload a photo from your device, then select the ‘PUBLISH’ button. After publishing it, select the ‘VIEW CHANNEL’ option to check the changes.
NOTE: If you are using a phone, first open the YouTube app and click on your profile icon from the top right corner. Then click on the ‘Your channel’ option, and you can see a ‘pen icon’ beside the ‘Manage Videos’ and ‘Analytics’ sections. Click on the ‘pen icon’ and select the ‘camera icon’ from the top right corner, which will hover over your banner photo. Then choose a photo from your device or take a photo and press ‘Save’ to change your banner photo.
How to Make a Banner Image from Canva for YouTube Banner:
Canva has a huge application throughout the world. You can create and edit a lot of things using Canva. You can use the Canva app for mobile or Canva for PC or go to the Canva Web to edit something. Here we are talking about the Canva Web.
Step 1: Open Canva on the browser and log in
To edit something on the Canva Web, open your Chrome browser and search for ‘Canva’ in the search box. Select the first website and go to the official website of Canva.
After that, you have to sign up for a Canva account, or you can log in directly through your Gmail account. Click on the ‘Continue with Google’ option, select your Gmail account, enter your password, and select ‘Next’. Now choose which type of account you have and customize your profile.
Step 2: Tap ‘Create a design’ and select ‘YouTube Channel Art’
After logging in to your Canva account, click on the ‘Create a design’ option beside your profile icon. In the ‘Search’ bar, search for ‘YouTube Channel Art’, whose aspect ratio is 2560 × 1440 px.
After clicking on the design, you will be redirected to a new tab where you can create your YouTube banner photo. First, go to the ‘Templates’ section and select a template you like. You can select any template because every template is 2560 × 1440 px here.
Step 3: Select ‘Elements’ and adjust the shape
Now inside this template, you must maintain the banner photo aspect ratio of 1546 × 423 px. First, go to the ‘Elements’ section from the left column to maintain this aspect ratio. From the ‘Elements’ section, select a square type shape, drag this shape from the sides, and set the height as 423 px and width as 1546 px.
From the ‘Uploads’ section, select ‘Upload’ and select a photo from your device. You can also add text and designs inside this shape and make it like your YouTube banner photo.
Step 4: Select the ‘Download’ option
Now, after creating the design of your banner photo on Canva, you have to download it. Click on the ‘SHARE’ option from the top right corner to download your banner photo.
Scroll down, and you can see the ‘Download’ option there. Click on it and then again click on the ‘Download’ option, and the photo will be downloaded to your PC, which you can use in your YouTube banner photo.
