What Happens If You Violate Instagram Community Guidelines

✎ Key Takes:

» You can check your Instagram account status by logging in, customizing settings, and reviewing ‘Account Status’ under the ‘Account’ option to ensure compliance with community guidelines.
» Try using the platform responsibly to avoid temporary bans lasting 24-48 hours; repeated violations may lead to a permanent ban. Exercise caution to prevent account restrictions and report any removed posts to Instagram’s help center for resolution.

What Happens If You Violate Instagram Community Guidelines:

If you are breaking the community guidelines like you are using foul language, or posting sexual content then Instagram will take strict action against your account. Without giving a single warning you can either ban your account temporarily or delete your account permanently.

1. Your Account Gets Banned Temporarily

When Instagram bans your account temporarily after logging in to your account you will see the pop-up ‘You’re Temporarily Blocked’ as well and you can not perform certain tasks on Instagram if you are banned. Usually, a temporary ban lasts for a few hours to 24-48 hours, but it depends on the activity and how many times you are banned.

If you are banned very often then the timings will change. You should maintain your account properly without doing any kind of violation because at the initial stage, Instagram gives you a temporary ban but if the same thing happens again and again then they can ban your account permanently.

2. Disable Account Permanently

The risk of being permanently banned depends on your activity after the temporary ban. If you continue to spam, follow, and disregard widely, and post lots of random comments on people’s photos, you could get a permanent ban on your Instagram account.

If you feel that any post which is banned by Instagram is not inappropriate and didn’t break the community guidelines of Instagram then you can challenge them by reporting this.

How to Check if You Violated Instagram Community Guidelines:

If you have violated the community guidelines of Instagram then you can check it from your Instagram account status. If you have not posted anything wrong there then it is ok but if you have broken Instagram community guidelines then it will show there.
