How To Download Audio From Messenger:

Downloading audio from Facebook Messenger is very easy, except you are downloading it from a specific, correct Facebook Messenger web link, which is m.facebook.com.

1. On PC:

Let’s learn the steps in detail:

Step 1: Go to “m.facebook.com”

First of all, open the web browser – Google Chrome or Safari and go to m.facebook.com. Open this link and on the screen, the login page will appear. Enter your login credentials and log in to your Facebook account on your PC.

Don’t feel strange, this Facebook web will look different from what you have been using in recent times. It will look more like the old Facebook web version.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Message’ icon

After logging in to your account, now, you have to open the message box, where all the chats are placed. For that, click on the ‘Message’ icon, located in the extreme top right corner of the screen.

Click on the Message icon on pc

The message icon will look similar to the messenger app icon but in blue & white color. Tap and open the ‘Messages’ page.

On the ‘Messages’ page, you will find all the chats with your Facebook friends, including the one that has the audio message.

Step 3: Open the person’s chat & move to ‘Audio Message’

Next, on the ‘Messages’ page, you have to find the chat of the person who has the audio that you wish to download. Find that person’s chat and open it. Thereafter, move to the audio file that you’re going to download.

Open the person's chat

You would have seen the difference between the Facebook app version and this Facebook web version. Many options and positions are different and new.

Step 4: Click on ‘three-dots’ & ‘Download’

On the audio message, you will find some options, like, play/pause, speaker, and three dots. This ‘three dots’ option carries the option to download the audio and save it on your device.

Click on three-dots on Facebook

So, click on the “Three dots” on the right end of the audio, and select > “Download”. Click on it to start downloading.

Download on Facebook

Once the downloading starts, an arrow moving down will be shown on the bottom left corner of the screen. You can check the same on your download notification tab in the top right corner of the screen.

Step 5: It will be saved as an MP4 file on your PC

Once the downloading is completed, it will be saved on your PC under the ‘Download’ section. You can check it. Open ‘File Explorer’ on your PC and go to the ‘Download’ section. Over there you will find the downloaded audio file.

It will be saved

The Audio File will be downloaded and saved in MP4 format on your PC.

Can You Download Audio from Messenger?

You can download the audio from Facebook Messenger on the web, not from the messenger app. On the Facebook messenger app, there is no chance to download an audio file.

Downloading is only possible when you open Facebook Messenger on the web, that is, on Google Chrome or Safari. On the web, there is a direct option given to download the received audio file and hear it later on your device.

To download the audio from the Facebook messenger web, there is a specific web link,  m.facebook.com. Do not get confused with www.facebook.com (Facebook), because, this won’t let you download the audio file, because it is similar to the Facebook app version.

Hence, carefully focus and open this link – m.facebook.com on your mobile device or PC.  Then, go to the audio you want to download; click on the download options, and save it to your device.
